2009-September-10-11Subject: LEPC Conference - The Annual Colorado LEPC Conference is set to be held September 10 and 11, 2009 at the Manor Vail Lodge in Vail, Colorado. Please forward this information to your LEPC members. There is no charge for this conference and lodging can be provided to the first 60 LEPC members at no cost. Please have them register for the conference at https://dola.colorado.gov/dem_training/75ez  and contact me for the lodging information by August 7. Lodging does include parking and breakfast on both mornings. The conference will provide lunch on Thursday and set to be done by Friday at noon. A social is being planned for Thursday by a private party. An agenda should be available by the end of the month. Business Roundtable: Conversation on Modern Terrorism and Society with the Combating Terrorism Center at West Point

On May 21st, 2008, CEPP hosted a Roundtable for our business partners in anRoundtable engaging and thought provoking conversation regarding military and public sector efforts and how the private sector can play a role in securing our great nation and our State. Bill Braniff, Director of External Education at the Combating Terrorism Center, and Jarret Brachman, Director of Research in the Combating Terrorism Center at West Point, briefed Denver business leaders including Denver Police Chief Gerald Whitman.

 

 

Risk Communications Course

On June 19th, 2008, CEPP hosted a Crisis and Emergency Communications Risk Communications Course that provided critical tools and techniques to help area PIOs effectively manage the challenges of communicating with partners, stakeholders and the media during a crisis.
