Harley Rinerson

Harley Rinerson was a United States Army Signal Corps officer  for 22 years, until his retirement from active duty in 1998. As a communications officer his service took him to interesting foreign areas world wide. His last assignment was as teh Inspector General for the State of Colorado National Guard.  

He served in the Office of the Governor as the State of Colorado’s Chief Information Security Officer. Prior to becoming the CISO he managed the Buckley Air National Guard Base as the Acting Director of Installations where he planned and negotiated with the Air Force on its transition from a State entity to becoming a federal Air Force Base in 2000.

As a previous President of the Denver Chapter of InfraGard, a FBI sponsored outreach organization, he continues his interest in the states Critical Infrastructure Protection programs. As a Colorado delegate to the national Multi-state Information Sharing Analysis Center he supports the legislative work-group on emerging and topical information security and privacy issues. Additional he is a subject matter expert for the Center of Homeland Defense and Security's Executive Education Mobile Education Team Seminars.

He has a Master of Business Administration from Colorado State University, a Masters of Military Arts and Science from the United States Army Command & General Staff College, and a Bachelor of Science from the University of South Dakota.

Mr. Rinerson holds certificates as a Certified Information Security Manger, (CISM), Certified in Governance of Enterprise Information Technology, (CGEIT), and was trained as a Qualified Data Security Professional (QDSP) from the Payment Card Industry. He He maintains a Top Secret SCI capable DoD clearance.
